It's Been Too Long

Sorry it has been so long since the last update.... It has been a crazy couple weeks!

Take a look at the official Fall Line Up for the major networks:
http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-Editors-Blog/Tv-Mattrs/Fall-Tv-Schedule/800039493

Men in Trees: returns this Wednesday for its FINAL three episodes.. this is your chance to get some closure on the show.

90210 - the previews to this show definitely have me intrigued...I am sure it will be another OC type of show...which I do love. Tori Spelling is set to reprise her role as "Donna Martin" for guest appearences on the new show this fall!
http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-News-Blog/Todays-News/Tori-Spelling-90210/800040428

David Cook and Kimberly Caldwell (American Idol season 2) went on a date...David Cook confirmed this on Regis and Kelly Tuesday morning. He says "They'll probably hang out again." I don't have a comment on this at the moment.
http://www.usmagazine.com/david-cook-goes-on-date-with-ex-idol-kimberly-caldwell

Josiah Lemming signs a record deal and calls AI glorified karaoke. This is probably true but he probably should just keep his mouth shut given the fact that the only reason he got a record deal is because of his exposure on American Idol. I believe he is young and just learning how to deal in hollywood. I am excited for his album.

In other news with past American Idol contestants...Sanjaya is filming a commerical for Nationwide...I guess he decided to take a turn off the singing route. This is probably very wise.

List of canceled shows on the link below: Included on the list October Road, Las Vegas, Oprahs Big Give, Big Shots, Cashmere Mafia, Here Comes the Newlyweds, Girlfriends, Beauty and the Geek, Pussycat Dolls Presents, 1 vs 100 and many more!

Now on to what is on TV right now:

So you think you can dance: I love love love this show and am so pumped about it being on. Last week they had the two hour premeire!!! I already have some favorites: Robert being at the top of my list. The show airs episode 2 tonight from 7-9 on fox.

LOST: the two hour finale of Lost airs tomorrow night (Thursday)...I am so ready! I hope that it is as good as they have built it up to be. I can't wait to find out how those 6 end up together and safe... And the big question on my mind where is Sawyer??? And where is he now?? (my guess still on the Island, I think they "move" the Island and so no one can find it anymore since it isn't at those exact cordinates)...Just a guess though. Can't wait!!!!

The Bacherlorette: Ok so one thing I really love about this season is that the guys are staying in that cabin kind of area and that each week three guys get to go live with her, it kind of mixes things up. Right now I am liking Graham the best. And I am not sure why everyone is harping on Jeremy so much, I don't think he has done anything crazy. My least favorite right now is Twilly... What are your thoughts and comments????

Denise Richards: It's Complicated: Ok so I was intrigued by this show and now I am hooked. I don't even really like Denise Richards and she makes me like her less in the show but it is so interesting to watch. I know I shouldn't.

Living Lohan: I was somewhat intrigued but this show, I must admit I would have been more intrigued if Lindsay was actually on the show but still I found myself watching it. I don't think this show will go on my TiVo though, I didn't find them interesting enough to watch weekly.

Shows to look out for this Summer:

MTV Movie Awards this Sunday June 1 at 7 on MTV

Legally Blonde "The Musical": The Search for the Next Elle Woods: This has potential to be a good show especially if you like dance/singing reality shows. It premeires on MTV June 2 at 9.

The Mole: Premeires Thursday June 2 on ABC at 8.

Army Wives: Premieres Sunday June 8 at 9 on Lifetime.

Weeds: Premieres Monday June 16 at 9pm on showtime.

Americas Next Best Dance Crew: Premieres Thursday June 19 at 9pm on MTV

Big Brother 10: Premieres July 13 at 7pm on CBS

The Closer: Premieres July 14 at 8pm on TNT

"MOST OPINIONATED"

Ok so I won this award on my 8th grade cheerleading squad and well here is why:

American Idol:
I have to say I really thought at this point I would be really excited and routing for David Cook (which I am routing for him) but I am not really excited about the show anymore...it entertains me but I think all my favorites are gone so I just don't love it anymore. Anyways here are my thoughts on what I saw last night:

1. David Cook: I thought his first song was really good although I swear it felt like he sang for 30 seconds....it felt so short...I will be happy when they get to sing a little bit longer. Anyways the second song - Michael thought it was "terrible" I wouldn't go that far...I enjoyed it for the most part but it was "pitchy" as Randy said. The last song was great I loved the instruments on stage and how they were arranged it really added to the emotion of the song. Also I thought he sounded good and it was a great fit for him(probably the best of the night in my opinion).

2. Syesha: I actually thought Syesha sounded good on all her songs tonight...I love Alicia Keys and really thought she was going to murder that song but she sang it surprisingly well...I thought it did almost sound identical to the original but that doesn't bother me bc when they get off American Idol they aren't going to be remaking songs so it is fine for now. The second song "Fever" was good not great I enjoy other versions of this song better but she did well and worked the stage as usual. The third song "Hit Me Up" was good...I have no idea what song this is...but I thought she sang it well and I enjoyed the up tempo song. I thought the judges were pretty hard on her tonight and it is still so OBVIOUS that they want the two David's to be in the finale...they really didn't try to hide their agenda at all last night!

3. David A: Now don't get me wrong David wasn't awful last night....I thought his brightest moment was when he sang Chris Brown's "With You" not because he sounded great (because he didn't) and not because he wasn't awkward (because he WAS) but I give him mad props for going out on a limb and doing something different and being unpredictable...Interesting that they call him predictable but when it comes time for the judges and producers to pick songs for him they give the typical old slow ballad songs. I loved that he just had fun with this song and showed us that he wants to be "pop". So I really applaud him for this choice. The other two songs were pretty typical boring David A. performances....the first song his vocals were good and once again I enjoy his voice so much better with out all the runs so this was pretty good for me.

Over all I thought David A was the weakest of the night but I think we all know that Syesha is probably going home tonight.

One Tree Hill:
Ok so this show is driving me crazy for SO many reasons....Let me just list a few:

1. "18 hours earlier" - I don't get it all...they showed several clips at the beginning and then said 18 hours earlier...ok so the clips were:
Brooke at the hospital about to find out about Angie
Deb flashing the computer
Jamie walking on the side of the road by himself
A water balloon breaking right infront of Dan as he walks down the sidewalk
Lucas at the basketball game throwing a hissy fit
All right I think that is all....... Ok as you can see all of these events started at completely different times so the only assumption I can make is when they say eighteen hours earlier that they mean from the last clip which was Lucas at the basketball game throwing a hissy fit..... Ok now lets calculate what time this should be..... Lets say the game starts anywhere between 7-8 (typical highschool basketball right?) and the hissy fit happens with three minutes left in the game so lets say that the game lasts 3 hours (which is pretty long)...so it is anywhere between 10-11.... Ok so 18 hours before that would be 5:00-6:00 am..... WHAT????? Now Let's see where we begin the episode - Peyton answering the phone - it is bright outside like really bright, doesn't sound like 5 am to me. Also they rush to the hospital and then about an hour later Lucas shows up....seriously he is already up at 5-6 in the morning (and has been to skills house and eaten breakfast).... Ok so this really annoyed me if you can't tell and really didn't make any since to me...If it makes since to you please fill me in!!!!!!

2. After the last episode the preview for this week with Peyton and Lucas falling on the bed with her unbuttoning his shirt...After seeing last nights episode and watching the preview back it is obvious that this is her unbuttoning his shirt and getting him ready for bed after she brings him home drunk...HOWEVER they didn't even include this clip in the episode which I find really annoying. (maybe I accidentally fastforwarded through it). Who knows?

3. "Fast Forward" - The whole point of the "Fast-Forward" was to develop better story lines and have this gap of years that they could draw story lines from....at first this was good...they had the "Lucas-Lindsey" and "Lucas-Peyton" thing and then "Nathan going crazy" but now we are back in the same tired story lines with a few boring add ins..... I really want them to develop those years we missed....I want to know what happened with Chase and Brooke?? I want to see how Karen handled moving on from Keith and her anger towards Dan??? Haley juggling school and raising a child and the hardships??? I want to see Nathan playing basketball for Whitey....I know we won't really see these things but they have so much they can build on and have all kind of mystery and people from the past showing up would really add a twist to the show...Instead we are stuck with the mellow dramatic Lucas (gag) and the creepy Deb hooking up with Skills.

Brothers & Sisters:
Wow we were left with some Drama on Brothers & Sisters...First off I am glad that Rebecca is not related to them. I think it will work better for the story line and really creates a Villain again out of Holly, which I believe she needs to be (come on there has to be one). So we are left to ponder who is "Ryan" and in my opinion the more intriguing question is who was his mother?? Nora has been so great at handling all of the lies but how will she handle this? Also I really applaud the writers of B&S at how they handled the Rebecca/Justin story line. I think they did a great job of covering the obvious it is WEIRD but maybe there is a reason they were brought together and it wasn't bc they are siblings...I really loved the scene up on the mountain and how great and awkward it was all at the same time. Great job! I also was glad that Scotty's parents didn't show up at the wedding, not because I agree with them necessarily but because I thought it made it more real. I was thinking how cheesy it would be if they just all the sudden said "You are right, it is ok." I like that is was more realistic. I thought that Nora did a great job for making up for them not being there and trying to make it perfect for them, it was a touching story line. Does anyone else wonder where in the world Sarah's kids are??? I know they are staying with their dad but seriously we haven't seen them in forever! Well until next year......

Best quote "This is the gayest week of my life" - Justin

Desperate Housewives:
Ok so the drama really started to unfold this week which means next weeks finale is going to be crazy!!!! I will start by saying I thought Marcia Cross "Bree"
did a remarkable job during this episode!! Edie finds out about Ben not being Bree's baby and uses it as blackmail. I loved her walking over to the other "wives" and telling them the truth. The girls were so supportive and I loved the whole scene with them. "What are WE going to do." It was such a well written scene. My favorite part of the episode was the four of them walking over to see Edie... no words spoken just the dramatic walk to her house! I have to admit I felt a little bad for Edie bc we all know how Bree is and she is pretty conniving and she definitely was mean to Edie but Edie has had it coming for a while now....So we will have to see if she is back next season - I am not sure if she is in the finale or not. I honestly don't care much about the Gabbie/Carlos story line. I loved that Susan faked her labor that was so typical Susan. Mike's mother is awful but she reminds me the stereotypical southern woman who says really mean things in a sweet voice (Bree is great at this too). Ok so I really do feel badly for Lynette. Kayla is really awful she reminds me of a child in horror films..she makes the most evil faces. I hate that Tom doesn't see this because you know this is going to cause problems in their marriage and I really like Tom and think he is a good husband to Lynette. I believe Lynette does need to work on her love for Kayla but I hate that no ones really is on her side. I am hoping in next weeks episode we will she the other housewives rally around her like they did Bree. I know that Lynette shouldn't have hit Kayla but seriously that girl is a brat and evil so someone has got to figure out what to do with her...I just wish that Tom would trust his wife more.....Ugh I know next week Lynette is going to get into so much trouble and I hate to see that. I guess Kayla is truly just like her mother.

Grey's Anatomy:
I feel the closer we get to the finale of Grey's the more I think Izzie and Alex are going to get together...I hope it is not wishful thinking but I have a feeling :)

CW Fall Line up:
Monday unchanged: Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill
Tuesday - 90210 spin off and Surviving the Filthy Rich
Wednesday - Top Model and Stylista
Thursday - Supernatural and Smallville

The Hills:
Quote about season four which I am super excited about:
For Lo's part, she sees the tension as having nothing to do with her, despite her self-described "foul face" when the topic comes up. Next season, expect more from Lo's perspective. "It's disheartening to see me turn into such a bad guy on the show," she said. In Season 4, she promised, "You're going to see the other side of the story. I think people need to remember that it's Audrina and Lauren's relationship that's having problems.... It's not my relationship to muck up."

On the brighter side Eli Stone has been renewed! (I know there are some die hard fans out there)

Late Night: Fallon is taking over for Conan when Conan takes over for Jay...
http://www.etonline.com/news/2008/05/61589/index.html

American Idol: This week the contestants will sing a song of their own choice, a song chosen by the judges and a song chosen by the producers. This is actually usually my favorite night because I think it offers a little variety and they usually make good choices.... Maybe the judges or producers will pick a song that David A. will not do well on. But at this point I kind of want him to win bc I think it is better for David Cook not to win...so whatever.

David A.: Well it finally happened David's dad got banned for all future idol rehearsals. Apparently the version of "Stand By Me" that David performed was not approved by idol due to the lyrics from "Beautiful Girls" incorporated. This cost idol a bunch of money...(I am assuming this song was not approved to use on Idol)...but David's dad wanted him to do it anyways...Poor David!

New Power Ranking for American Idol:

Boston Legal is gearing up for a fifth season! (It has been re-newed)
http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-News-Blog/Todays-News/Fall-Tv-Boston/800039357

CBS adds six new shows to there fall line up. The only thing that really excites me about this is that Elizabeth Reaser (known by most as "Ava/Jane Doe/Rebecca" on Grey's Anatomy) has signed on with "The Ex List" which I am assuming means no more "Ava" on Grey's...Which I like bc once again I am a huge Izzie and Alex supporter!!!!

The Hills: Ok so once again even in the finale they didnt really show any more in the episode than they did in the preview, except Spencer and Heidi making amends (I guess?) but we all new that was coming due to the headlines EVERYDAY!!! Anyways did anyone notice how on the aftershow Lo and Audrina were never together and they kept them apart....hmmmmm. Makes me wonder if those issues still really haven't been settled. But it seems like Lauren has stayed friends with them both. Anyways ofcourse the preview got me super excited for next season but that doesn't start until August 18.

The Bachelorette...Not even taking a week break from the Bachelor before the Bachelorette begins... interesting... DeAnna is going to be searching for her soul mate starting Monday!!

Just a Quick Tid Bit...

Audrina says on the Lo situation..."Don't feel sorry for me". She admits things come across differently on the show. YAY so maybe Lo isn't as bad as they are making her out to be. I hope the finale will prove this because I love her.....Lets not forget some of her great moments on the original Laguna Beach:
"I don't even own a bag this small"
"Was somebody mean to you, do I need to beat someone one up?" - talking to LC
"Steppphhan, Stepphan" - Making fun of Kristin
"Does someone want to make a hotdog for me...But I don't know how...Help me help me heeelpp mee...My husband will love me for who I am."
"I'm gonna be so freakin cute in Santa Barbra" - after getting her new Jetta
"She does have a point, you shouldn't be failing." - After LC gets punished by her Mom for failing a class.
"Look Kristin wore her PJ's" - To LC at a concert
"Are you taking your Gocci bag to school....This is a cross between Gucci and Coach....can I have it to put out in my room." - making fun of Lauren's knock off purse.

Oh and Audrina lands a movie role.

Here is a sneak peek at Britney Spears on How I Met Your Mother. She will be making her second appearance on the show on Monday May 12.

American Idol:
Jason Castro is the most recent contestant to be cut from the show but don't feel bad about it because he doesn't. Paula said he was ready to leave the show. He didn't seem upset at all to be leaving. I think he will have a great career. He may not be a top selling artist but I think he will be able to do what he loves and make a living off it which seems like all he really wants.
http://www.usmagazine.com/paula-abdul-jason-castro-it-was-time-him-go

Did Jason so desperately want to be voted off that he mouthed "Don't Vote" after his performances on Tuesday or was he mouthing "Vote Vote"...you decide...

Previous Contestants Carly Smithson and Michael Johns performed on Ellen Monday here is a clip of one of the songs they sang...."One" by U2. I am thinking they should make an album together...I would buy it for sure...They were probably the strongest two vocalists in the competition.

The Hills:
The Hills has been picked up for a 4th season which has already started filming...Tell me are you TEAM LO or TEAM AUDRINA????...Sorry but I am still convinced that Lo is better than what they show of her. I love her still but I hope she stops being so snotty soon. For now TEAM LO!!!!

Brothers & Sisters: The cast reveals some hints on what to expect from B&S finale and next season. There will be some major cliffhangers in next weeks finale. Sarah will find out another BIG secret about her father. Who are the two cast members not returning for Season 3? I was thinking it was Danny Glovers character but I am not sure he was ever considered a major role....Michael thinks maybe Saul dies in this coming up episode...but who knows??? I guess we will just have to watch!!!
http://www.buddytv.com/articles/brothers-and-sisters/brothers-sisters-cast-hints-on-19065.aspx

Desperate Housewives: There is always so much drama on Wisteria Lane and we don't have to expect anything different in the upcoming episodes. The drama is going to hit the fan with Kayla. Also we have heard that next season they are going to fast forward 5 years, does this mean recasting for the children???
http://www.buddytv.com/articles/desperate-housewives/desperate-housewives-is-kayla-19063.aspx

Lost:
We are returning to the freighter this week on Lost...yay I love Sayid. I feel like it has been a while since we have seen what is going on aboard the boat. Also I am anxious to see what Kate was doing for Sawyer...I really hope he isn't dead because I enjoy his character (I doubt he is). Any thoughts on what you think might happen in upcoming episodes???
This was one persons opinion of whether Claire is alive or dead...it seems pretty accurate but you NEVER know with LOST.
Claire – Odds: Even Money I keep coming back to the fact that Claire would never willingly part with her bay-bay. Even if there were only so many seats on the way home, there's no way Kate would steal a seat from Claire – ditto for Sayid or Jack or Hurley. What circumstance would see Claire willingly part from her child? Thursday's episode should answer some of those questions, but I still think Claire will be offed by the season finale

Nicole Richie...I love her...I know I might be weird but she makes me laugh. I think she looks great in this picture and how precious is Harlow??

Entourage: New season will begin September 2008...they have begun filming

Greys Anatomy:

Katherine Heigl wants out of her Greys contract...Don't worry loyal watchers ABC's not going to let that happen. But is saddens me that she wants to leave. Rumors are that she doesn't think she needs Grey's anymore since her two movies were box office GOLD. I am just glad we don't have to worry about Izzie leaving Seattle Grace anytime soon! I am all for the "big kiss" at the end of this season being between Izzie and Alex...Yay!

Gossip Girl: Has been renewed for next season with a whopping 24 episodes!!! They are trying to make up for episodes lost during the writers strike.

Best TV Comedies of all Time...by AOL: I agree with this one more...but I think that Laverne and Shirley should have been higher that is a classic! Yay for Roseanne being so far up the list..love it. I disagree with there number one pick, they must have based it on longevity...click below to see the list.

American Idol - Recap and Predictions- May 7

First of all I want to apologize for not sending out a list of the songs yesterday I had already left work when they posted them.

Now on to the show.....For ONCE I actually thought David A. did the best job last night, Don't get to excited because I didn't think anyone blew me away or did incredible. Overall I was really disappointed with the contestants and their song choices. Now I don't know what kind of list they are given to pick from but you would think that you could pick some better songs from the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.

So here is my order and my thoughts....

1. David A. - I did not like his version of "Stand by Me" at all....I hated all the runs. But his second song "Love Me Tender" I must say was very good...I think this is what he does best just simple without all the hoop la and just sings but I am still not a huge fan...and don't understand the judges obsession with him but this song was the best of the night. Oh and he needs to stop acting so SURPRISED with the judges comments at first it was kind of endearing but now come on man have they given you a negative comment to date!!! I hope he doesn't act all shocked tonight when he is SAFE.

2. Syesha - The first song "Proud Mary" vocally was not that great and I agreed with Simon that it was kind of shrieky, but she had great energy and stage presence in this song. The second song "A Change is Gonna Come" I thought vocally she did well - but I am not familiar with the original.

3. David C. -First song "Hungry Like the Wolf" was ok but the vocals were not great and the songs lacked any kind of real emotion (I did read they were having audio trouble so maybe that contributed). The second song "Baba O'Riley" he did very well but I wish he had more than 90 seconds bc I felt the song just ended.

4. Jason - I am sure all the Jason haters were having a party last night bc he really messed up. The first song "I shot the Sheriff" by Bob Marley was not very good...it was too fast and just not enough soul in his voice. I loved the enthusiasm he had on stage though. I also loved when Simon asked what were you thinking? "I was thinking Bob Marley! Yeah!" The second song "Mr. Tambourine Man" I really enjoyed except when he forgot the lyrics but it didn't bother me that bad but I know the rest of America was probably like OH GOODNESS. But I really enjoyed his version. I also think it is clearly obvious the judges don't want him to be there so we will see what happens tonight but my guess is he is probably going home. And I think he is going to be fine with it, however his 12 year old little sister might be crushed :)

Like I said before I didn't think ANYONE did incredible this week so who knows whats to come in the upcoming weeks. All I know is that at this point it doesn't really matter if you win bc if you work hard enough you will probably do well after Idol.

Happy Watching,
