My Thoughts: Grey's Music Episode

I will go ahead and tell you I was NOT a fan of the Music episode of Grey’s Anatomy. Here is why: · The Music was OK: It isn’t necessarily that the music was bad, because it wasn’t (except that one song with all the couples singing). And I will give it to Shonda Rimes, she was right that I was surprised at how well Lexie can sing. I understand the thought process behind this, "we have great singers (Tony Award winning singers) and we have GREAT music, why not combine them?" BECAUSE you are a MEDICAL DRAMA! · Instead of adding to the emotion it took away. I didn’t think this episode was bad, but it could have been GREAT! I think the singing did the opposite of what they intended. I believe they thought that the characters singing would add a new level of emotion to the story lines but for me it just took the attention away from the story. When Lexie goes to check on Mark and start singing “Just Breathe” it was awkward and I wanted to scream STOP singing and talk to him. I felt like this was true of the majority of the episode. When Hunt started singing about the surgery it was almost comical, that scene was NOT meant to come across like that. Ok so those are my thoughts I know there are a lot of people out there that really liked it, I would love to hear why you liked it so much! Please watch that episode and watch the episode with Meredith almost drowning or Burke getting shot or Izzie finding out she has cancer and tell me that episode brought the same kind of emotion?!?!? I just don’t see how! Here is a clip from when Meredith drowned, no DOUBT music played a huge role in making these scenes emotional. Especially when Mark walks up and sits by Derek. The music helps you to feel the emotion of the scene it adds to it, in no way is your attention drawn to the music. It is drawn more into the scene, into the emotion of the characters. Can you imagine if Mark had been singing that song when he walked up to Derek, no because it wouldn’t have been as good, silence in that moment was PERFECT! Watching this scene reminds me of the best times of Grey’s when Dr. Burke, Izzie, George, and Addison were all still there, ahhh those were the days! George dying…chills EVERY TIME!! Grey's Anatomy & Mad Men

Ok so all of my blogging lately has been about Idol but there hasn’t been much else on TV lately. My shows are slowly starting to come back on but they will only return for a few episodes and then will be gone again. Here are some thoughts on a couple of my shows:

Grey’s Anatomy- the Music Episode. Ok so I have not been this excited about an episode in a LONG time and it has almost NOTHING to do with the music. I was on the edge of my seat as I watched the preview for this episode. I know Grey’s does it time and time again, a cast member on the operating table but I love it every time (or almost every time). There is something so great about seeing these doctors who deal with the life and death of patients every day forced to deal with the patient being one of their own. I know it is probably very unrealistic that every doctor in the hospital be put on one patient just because they are a friend but it is still GREAT TV. Well due to the shift in characters the past couple season’s Mark & Lexie are my favorite couple on the show and yes I know they aren’t a couple right now but they SHOULD BE! That being said I think this could be an interesting episode for them. Mark will clearly be experiencing all sorts of emotions this episode with his Best Friend/Baby Mama gasping for life and the fate of his unborn child hanging in the balance. I can’t wait to see Lexie’s reaction to all of this.

We all over the years have LOVED the songs played on Grey’s Anatomy. They pick such amazing songs that bring just the right emotion to the forefront. I am definitely interested to see how the singing plays out but in my eyes it could go either way. I just hope we get to really experience all the drama that will take place!

Mad Men- My husband and I are still a season behind on Mad Men, we are anxiously awaiting its release to DVD. However it was just announced that the fifth season of Mad Men will not return until early 2012!! That means we will have to wait that much longer to get caught up! URGH!

Brief Comments About a Few Things:

The 100th episode:

• Katie Holmes performance was over hyped and I hate that she lip-synched but she does have some talent (I couldn’t help but see Joey Potter up there performing and not “Katie”)
  

• Janette was super talented and I know people were really sad she got sent home but something about her rubbed me wrong…maybe she was too cheesy or the fact that she was really hyped up, not sure but I was fine with seeing her leave. It was Jason’s time to go just because he has been in the bottom week after week.
  

• I am now officially on team Jeanine (her solo this week rocked) but I still think that if any of the top 6 from last season were on this season they would be my favorite!

• WADE ROBSON ROCKS MY FACE OFF!!!! I have always loved Wade and even though this season his dances haven’t been as great (I believe because of the dancers) he is still one of the best if not the best out there! When he danced Ramalama with the group I had to rewind it like 15 times, loved it. Shout out to my boy Ivan who made an appearance in the dance, the first person I really liked on SYTYCD!

The Bachelorette (The Men Tell All and The Finale):

• I thought the boys were way too hard on Jake but I also do think Jake is WAY to straight laced to be the next Bachelor (however I felt that way about Jason).
  

• I hated that Wes wasn’t back to get slammed on but the rumor is he said he didn’t want to come and then he called some guys and made sure they would back him. Then he called the producers back and said he would come on and they decided not to let him come back!

• The guys looked really petty for most of the show and even though I was not a Juan fan I found myself siding with him through his interrogation.
  

• Jillian, Jillian, Jillian, well she gets on my nerves and I am not going to say mean things but I think it is fine she ended up with Ed. My favorite by far was Reid and I think he can do so much better but I hate that he came back and made his proclamation and got slammed. I would love for Reid to be the next Bachelor but do we really think he would be a good one??? He wouldn’t be able to share any real emotions (but I guess they aren’t suppose to anyways).
  

• Kiptyn would probably be the best choice for the next Bachelor, if he wanted to do it…do you think he would??
  

• After the Rose is tonight and I bet the crowd is going to be loving some Reid! Also Melissa will be back and she is for sure a fan favorite.
  

Grey’s Anatomy:

TR Knight:

• Personally I think he is fool for leaving, this show gave him his start and he should follow through for the fans. I remember when they interviewed Katie Holmes while she was doing Dawson’s Creek and she started to get really big and do movies and such. They asked her if she would leave Dawson’s, she said of course not that Dawson’s is the reason why she is able to do movies now and she doesn’t want to disappoint the fans or creators of Dawson’s. She owed it to the show to finish the story. I think it is respectable to have that attitude.
  

• Shonda asked TR to come back to film what sounded like a great episode to help give George some closure and he refused. The episode was going to be a flashback to what happened when George left the hospital that day…when he heroically jumped in front of the bus. TR just wants to move on and not come back…so sad for the fans and the writers.
  

• I definitely don’t wish TR bad but it seems like he may have burned some bridges, however I think everyone felt the same way when George Clooney left ER
  

• Shonda said she is getting story lines prepared for it everyone leaves the show, I guess it could do like ER and eventually have an entirely new cast and probably different fan base. If it does go on as long as ER then it will likely cycle out the original cast members. Shonda said atleast she has Lexie so if Meredith leaves there is still a Grey for Grey’s Anatomy.
  

George is Out!

TR Knight “George” is officially gone according to “a source”.

I am very sad by this news and I am especially disappointed if TR did indeed said “He’s had enough with Shonda and ABC”. I am NOT a big fan when actors turn their back on the show that gave them their start. They need to at least have some respect for the show and its creator. The final episode of Grey’s this season was a great one!! We were left not knowing if George “John Doe” would live or die and only the characters on the show knew it was George in the last moments….I was really hoping he would come back. I knew that this was a probability but I hate to hear that it is true.

I have heard that next season will jump forward several months so it is possible that George will not die but actually recover and maybe he was drafted to the army. Who knows what Shonda will do ?!?!?

New Characters??

One Tree Hill:
After the loss of two main characters on OTH (Lucas & Peyton) the producers are trying to fill the void by adding new characters. We already discussed three new characters being brought to the cast and now they are in talks with 90210 vet Brian Austin Green. Brian was staring in Terminator but since it got canceled his schedule seems to be open however will he want to return to a teen soap drama? I know the cast is no longer teens but I still put it in that category. Brian would be cast playing Nathan’s sports agent, Clayton…interesting (I wonder if this will cause any bumps in Haley & Nathan since he is an attractive guy).

What do you think of the potential casting of Brian Austin Green?

Grey’s Anatomy:

Many people thought that the character George might live on just in a different body. Meaning since TR Knight was thought to be leaving the show his character might just have plastic surgery and a new actor would play the role. Producer Shonda Rhimes has come out and said that is ridiculous and NOT happening. The question still at hand is will George return to Seattle Grace?

Grey's Anatomy:

DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THE SEASON FINALE YET!!!

I have so many things to say about last night’s episode so bare with me. I want to get it out there that I was overall disappointed with last night’s episode. The last few episodes of Grey’s have been some of the best, I have really enjoyed them. However the finale was sub-par, there were some great moments but overall I walked away very disappointed.

Meredith & Derek:

I am starting with them because it will be quick… I thought the post-it note was stupid. I liked some of the vows they made to one another but to write them on a post-it and then announce they you are married is just plain silly. They are the central couple of the show so I expect more than this. I know that Meredith isn’t a big wedding person but at the very least go to the court house.

Lexie & Mark:

I really wanted Lexie and George to be together, which obviously may not be able to happen now (we will talk more about that later) but I am getting on board with Sloan and Lexie. At first I was uneasy about Lexie I know a lot of Meredith fans really didn’t like her but as you know I am not a huge Meredith fan so I was pretty open to her. I think she has become a great character….I know this is hard for people to hear but I think she is the Izzie of her class, she is super intelligent but really cares about each patient. If Izzie does die I think she will take over as the resident that has a hard time drawing the line. Back to the relationship between the two, I think Lexie brings out great qualities in Mark. Mark seems to really love her and it is fun to watch a “ladies man” become a lady man. I think we will see much more of this couple next season.

Cristina & Hunt:

Cristina has become one of my favorite characters on Grey’s, she really intrigues me. The story line between her and Hunt is wonderful because both of them are so guarded and have a lot of emotional issues so it is fun to watch everything unfold. I really hope they last a while because I was very sad when her and Burke broke up, I thought they were a wonderful couple. I am happy they have found a great replacement for Cristina. I can’t wait to peel back more layers of Owen Hunt, I want to know more about his fiance and why he couldn’t call her. I want to know more about what happen to him at war. I am so intrigued by his emotional baggage. I want to see Cristina pull all these things out of him and she is great at really standing by her man through difficult situations…can’t wait!!

Izzie & Alex: (deep breath)

Well one of my friends wanted me to make sure I wrote about how wonderful Alex is so…. It is not a surprise to my readers that I love Alex. He is a complex character that has been through so much. Once again it is nice to see a guy who is typically a “ladies man” turn into a one woman guy. Izzie stole Alex’s heart in season one and has been waiting for the right time since. There have been a couple moments over the previous four seasons where Alex had a shot with Izzie but it wasn’t their time. You could always tell the way he felt about Izzie was different than the way he felt about any other of his love interests. This season he finally won Izzie’s heart and he has been showing us the deep love he has for her ever since. The last few episodes have been wonderful for Justin Chambers. He has really gotten a chance to showcase his acting capabilities and I for one am impressed. Last week when he was sitting on the bench outside the hospital after finding out Izzie had another tumor was one of his strongest emotional scenes. When he was crying to Meredith I truly believed his emotions and wanted to reach through the scene and hug him. Last night on the season finally he had many great scenes that seemed real…when he was yelling at Derek after the surgery, when he fussed with Cristina, his ranting to Izzie, and ofcourse when she was being wheeled into surgery …his tears were so real! I love Alex and I hate that he (might) have to go through this. However it could make for some great acting next season as he deals with his grief….Do you think he will fall back into hard/rough Alex?!?!? Probably, but now that we have all seen his heart it will be hard to hide it as well as he once could.

On to the actual events of last night: the struggle Izzie had making the choice of surgery was heart breaking, what a tough decision to make. It broke my heart when they did the “fake” brain sleep thing (so technical) it was so hard to watch her struggle with speaking and recognizing simple things. Also I felt so badly for Alex during that sequence because he doesn’t want to lose her but he also doesn’t want to live with regret that she is stuck being something she doesn’t want to be. I agreed with her decision to have the surgery, it seemed more hopeful than her other option. I was surprised when she made it through the surgery so early in the episode and then when she lost her short term memory I thought that was it, she will have to be put in a home or something (it seems like that would be much worse than losing your long term memory, maybe I am ignorant but you could build up new memories and people could help you understand who you once were – all of it seems bad though). I loved how Alex wrote the sticky notes all over and was really pushing for her to remember, I thought it was sweet how much effort he put into it. When he went off at Izzie those words may have sounded so hateful but I thought it was a heart wrenching moment, one that seemed so real. The emotions he went through seemed like what someone in his situation would go through, I could smoother you with a pillow, shot you up with morphine or leave you…but I can’t live with any of those options. That hit me so hard, how sad when you don’t have any good options and they all will changed your life forever! The last moments of the episode when she remembered the fight was great and I was so glad Alex and Izzie got a moment to embrace and love on each other before she lost conciseness. The question we are left with is will Izzie die??? If she doesn’t die will she back working in the hospital??? I am assuming she is dead given all the rumors but a part of me is hoping they are just trying to shock us and make us think they aren’t coming back when they are.

George:

Well they pulled one over on me BIG TIME!! It is hard to completely pull one over on me not because I am so smart and great at figuring things out but because I have a TV blog and read all that I can about each show. I usually know if someone is going to die or leave the show and so it is more of how it happens sometimes that gets me (there are times where I try not to look at stuff because I really don’t want to know). Most often I try not to share too many of those spoilers on my blog because I think it ruins some of the stories….Anyways you would have to be living under a rock to not hear about all the drama surrounding Katherine and TR leaving the show. That being said I knew that Izzie was probably going to die and that George was going to join the army, I had NO IDEA that George would be hit by a bus. At what point did ya’ll realize that it was John Doe was indeed George??? I didn’t even think about it until he wrote out “007” on Meredith’s hand….and proceeded to have chills all over my body! There was a point during the episode that I told my husband I wished they didn’t have this “other” story line in the episode because there was so much going on with the main characters; little did I know it WAS one of the main characters. So now the question we are left with is, did George die?? Will he be back next season?? If you read the news your immediate answer will be: yes he died, he won’t be back. However I read an interview with creator Shonda this morning and here is what she said about Izzie and George’s cliffhangers:

Rumors have been swirling all year that Katherine and TR wanted off the show. The season ends with both their characters' lives hanging in the balance. Purely coincidental?

SHONDA RHIMES: I don't think there are any coincidences. I think Katherine's stated publicly that she's happy to stay. I think that there have been lots of rumors about TR, but TR's never said anything. Take from it what you will.

This kind of cliffhanger almost seems tailor-made to capitalize on some of those headlines and generate buzz.

RHIMES: You have to remember, I have two shows. It's not as if I spend a lot of time reading the press. We talk about stuff in the writers' room that other people have read, but, mostly, we were really moving on character. Every year at the beginning of the season I pitch what the end of the season is going to be. And I literally sat down and pitched the last 10 minutes of this season at the beginning of the season, so we were headed towards the place that we knew we were going to go.

Do you know which one of them lives and which one of them dies?

RHIMES: Yes. And I don't know that you should be saying "which one of them lives and which one of them dies." I know what happens to the characters.

This was the kind of closure I wanted with the characters; maybe we will get it next season.

Send Off:

Well this is the main reason I thought the episode was sub-par. If indeed this was the last we see of Izzie and George I thought it was a very weak send off… I don’t feel closer with the Characters at all!!! They waited until the last five minutes to develop the story of their deaths (if they are dead) and then just ended…I didn’t like that at all. Especially with George’s character, I had been ready this whole time to have an emotional send off with all the characters saying Goodbye to George as he went off to war but now I am left feeling empty.

Maybe I Am Not Crazy!

Grey’s Anatomy:

Since day one of Grey’s Anatomy I have loved Alex! I know what you are thinking, “Even while he was printing pictures of Izzie and hanging them up all over the locker room?” My answer is YES!! I have always really loved Alex’s character and thought he had so much going on inside and so much to offer… Often times these types of guys are just waiting for the right person to come along and peel back the layers, Alex found her!

Last night’s episode made me mad and I found myself yelling at the TV “Why is no one sitting with Izzie?” “Come on Alex, Step up!” “Seriously George, are you that selfish?” “Izzie would be the first one by your bedside waiting with any one of you” I knew Alex was having such a hard time processing everything and boys always want to be able to just fix things but he needed to step up and be there for Izzie. When the older woman told Alex “People are better than no people” it was exactly what he needed to hear. I love all the scenes with him after that, he is finally ready to commit to someone and wants to build a life with Izzie which breaks my heart because I am pretty sure Izzie is going to die. At this point I am just curious how everything is going to play out. I am ready for some more GREAT Alex/Izzie scenes that will take our breath away. My favorite scene of the night was when Alex stood by Izzie’s bed and tears were running down his face as he said “I am here Izzie.” I also loved when he crawled in bed with her and his conversation with Meredith in the on call room. Who still doesn’t like Alex???? I also wanted to say that the moment after Denny died and Alex scooped Izzie up into his arms and held her was one of my all time favorite Grey’s Anatomy scenes! (See below)




Other great Izzie/Alex Moments:



The next part of the episode I want to discuss is Cristina and Owen, I may be the only one but I really like the two of them together. What I love about Cristina is that she truly believes in the men she loves, she is always there to support and encourage them (sometimes she is a little too pushy –like when she pushed Burke to do surgery too soon). Owen is obviously struggling with some really deep issues and needs counseling. I loved how they called his issues a wound from the war, and it is. I can’t imagine going to war and then coming back and being the same, and obviously he had some really traumatic things occur while he was there. When Owen first arrived at Seattle Grace I was annoyed by him, and now I can’t wait to find out more about him. The scene where he was strangling Cristina was intense and really great TV, I thought both actors did a great job with the sensitive scene. I agree with Cristina when she told Meredith if he lost his arm, or leg I would stand by him this is a war wound too! However I really felt for both of them when they were laying in the on call room and Cristina said it wasn’t going to work because she was scared to fall asleep in his arms. I believe these two really love each other and they will find a way to work through it which is why Owen finally went to Derek for help, they will figure it out.

Some of you may want me to talk about the proposal but as most of you know I really don’t care much for the MerDer story lines…glad he proposed (it was semi-cute, but he still should have got on one knee). That is really all I have to say about that!

Why All the Dying???

WARNING SOME OF THIS COULD BE CONSIDERED SPOILERS:

I am going to warn my readers that I am going to talk about a lot of different shows in this blog involving characters dying. Some of these plots are already out in the open example Dr. Izzie Stevens but some are NOT!! So if you don’t want to know what shows are killing characters off DON’T READ THE REST OF THIS POST!!!! HOWEVER IF IT IS NOT IN THE OPEN I DON’T KNOW WHO IS DYING TI JUST KNOW SOMEONE IS DYING.


Many of my shows are so dark right now with so much death surrounding them, it is crazy that it all hit at one time. It started last week when Bill sacrificed himself on 24, and then it was followed by Izzie being diagnosed with a deadly cancer and now Peyton (One Tree Hill) will most likely die if she carries her baby full term. I know that some of these shows have had hype surrounding them about the stars not wanting to continue on the show, Katherine Heigl, TR Knight, Hillarie Burton, and Chad Michael Murray to name a few. Not surprising that the story lines on Grey’s Anatomy and One Tree Hill are starting to pave a road for an easy exit for all of these characters but the question remains will all these characters really leave??? I think it is inevitable that Izzie Stevens is leaving. I hate that she has to die though because I love Alex and hate that his character will have to overcome such extreme heartache. Will Peyton really die??? And if she does will Lucas leave town because he is so depressed OR are the writers opening a path for him and Brooke to find love again??? I personally think it would be weird for Brooke and Lucas to get back together after Peyton dies. Anyways we don’t know for sure that any of these characters will die but it seems pretty evident at this point.


Another show that will have a main character death is Desperate Housewives; they have been playing this one up for weeks. We know now that Edie will die and now the question is how, I think it is pretty clear that her husband, Dave will kill her but will it be an accident or will it be in cold blood? Also I am pretty sure we are going to find out soon that he is after the wrong person which I think means that Susan might have been driving the car the night of the accident OR that Mike is still in love with Susan (come on we all know this is true)! This Sunday we will see how the entire drama unfolds and the question on my mind is how sad will the residents of Wisteria Lane be when Edie passes??? If she had died a couple seasons ago I would say that the town would not feel much sorrow but Edie has made amends and I think it will hit Wisteria Lane hard.

Now I am going to move on to deaths that are somewhat spoilers however I don’t know any specifics on who will die but that someone will. Let’s start with the most popular: Lost! Many bloggers are spreading the news that 2 characters will die before the season is over one will be a major death and the other semi-major. My first instinct would be Desmond and Penny…Ben killed them! But everyone who watches Lost knows things are not always as they seem so I am thinking maybe Sun, Juliet, or Hurley dies, but I have nothing to support that. I am pretty confident that Kate, Jack, Sawyer, Sayid, Locke, and Jin are all going to make it through the season. The only reason I think that Jin is safe is because why would they have everyone sitting on the edge of their seat all summer and bring Jin back just to Kill him, that would be stupid. But how sad would it be if Hurley or Sun died??? I for one would not be that devastated if Desmond or Penny died, I know that is awful but if we have to make sacrifices those are easy ones to let go.

Next Prison Break: I have read that at least 2 main characters will die before the series ends…I personally think this sucks!!! These people have worked so hard on getting their lives back and helping others I hate for it to end in death for any of them. However now that I think about it I am sure T-bag will be one of the characters they kill off at the end, everyone has wanted his character to die since day one but secretly loved to hate him! I heard a dirty little spoiler that Michael will have to choose between Lincoln and Sara to save!?!?! Ugh I don’t like this AT ALL!!!!


So now the main question is why all the death??? And is it just a coincidence that ALL of my shows decided to kill off the characters at once??? I am thinking that part of it is timing….. Most of my shows have been around for several years and I think a few things are happening:

1. The actors are getting burnt out and ready to move on
2. The shows are trying to keep up ratings
3. It has always been part of the story line

Grey's Anatomy:Shondra Rhimes is "setting the record straight" saying that Heigl and Knight are not leaving Grey's and that the rumors are laughable! I guess only time will tell if she is trying to cover up future plot lines on the show or if this really is just a rumor.

URGENT UPDATE!!!!

Grey's Anatomy:

Katherine Heigl and TR Knight are officially out!!!! Izzy Stevens and George O'Malley's characters are reaching an end. Perez Hilton reports that the two are officially leaving Grey's to pursue other things in their carrers. I must say I don't see how the show is going to take their loss.... it will definitely be a hard loss to recover from. At this point it seems they may actually kill Heigl's character but then she can't come back so I am not sure they would want to do something that drastic as for George I imagine he will just "change hospitals". It is a sad day at Seattle Grace Hospital.

Not About The Bachelor :)

I started looking through my latest posts and realized that all I have been talking about lately is The Bachelor (it is such a guilty pleasure)! I know soon the only thing I will be blogging about will be American Idol (Once we get past the Hollywood round). BUT there are other things going on in the TV World so lets look at a few:

Grey's Anatomy:

WOW!!! This past weeks episode was pretty intense. Do we really think Izzy is going to die??? We knew the entire time that one of the likely reason that Izzy was seeing Denny was that she was sick but I must admit I never thought he would be there "for here." It seems like he was there to "take her home." Very interesting but this really doesn't explain everything that went down between them but I really really hope that she doesn't die. I like Izzy's character but more so for Alex. He finally found someone he really loves and he has been through so much I just really want for him to be able to be happy for at least a few months! This will be interesting to see the story line unfold. Will Izzy get to finally meet her daughter??? Will we meet her mother???

The story line with the PDR and the boy was pretty intense I felt myself going back and forth with the story line. I really find it silly to think if this man is pretty much dying and he will for sure be killed in 5 days and WANTS to sacrifice himself not to let him to save the young boy. Before you go crazy let me explain a couple things...I am actually AGAINST the death penalty (I am sure there are some gasps out there) BUT in this situation he was going to be killed nothing I can do about that (ultimately I wouldn't want that). I don't really understand saving a man's life just so the families could see him tortured! It seems if the families knew his organs were saving a young child they would want to do that!!! RIGHT??? Plus it is highly unlikely that another person would be on life support in the hospital for them to use their organs. The writers created the ending they wanted which appeased all, the boy lives and the PDR was still executed as planned. The other part of this story line was interesting to me...Meredith's compassion for this man. I really related to her in this story line (might be the first time in history). I know he murdered a bunch of people, I know this BUT I don't see how I could be in a room with someone that I knew everyone hated, everyone wanted to die, and knew he was going to be executed in 5 days and NOT have compassion on him. Is he not still a human being?? Is he not still a child of God??? I think what Meredith did was great! I think her going to his execution was the right thing. I am going to get off this topic now bc this is definitely a heated discussion! There are some of you that might stop reading my blog. I wish you wouldn't, I wish you would share your thoughts?

There were some other great story-lines through out the last couple episodes that were great:

Derek's mom coming to visit, meeting Meredith and giving Derek her engagement ring! That is so powerful that was her ring from her husband that was killed. That is pretty huge for her to be giving it to Derek to give to Meredith (when she clearly didn't give it to him to give to Addison).

Mark & Lexie relationship heating up... and causing BIG problems. It was a nice break from the intense story lines when Mark "broke a bone." Plus I love the end when Lexie crawls into bed and rubs his hair. The writers are winning me over on this couple.

Cristina & Meredith- I loved the way Cristina and Meredith came together in this episode. Sometimes it does take something big to make us realize how stupid our fights and priorities can be, I loved the moment that Derek took Meredith to her! (Oh and I didn't say it but I loved that Derek went to the prison and waited for Meredith).

I am so excited about upcoming episodes of Grey's Anatomy. I feel like the show is getting good again. We are really exploring the characters and that is what I love about the show. I am excited to see Private Practice and Grey's Cross Over, I have been waiting for more interaction with Addison and Derek. I also am excited to see where the Izzy story line goes now that Denny is gone (for NOW) and we can find out what is going on with her, and I want to see how Alex reacts.

Gossip Girl:

I have not loved the episodes lately of GG, probably because it doesn't seem to have as much drama and there aren't many episodes with Chuck and Blair together! However I am excited to see some upcoming events. Georgina is coming back soon and the rumor is she comes back bc B & S are in trouble and have no one else they can turn to...hmmm interesting. Also an old couple that "people weren't fond of" are getting back together and we are promised it is not Chuck and Blair or Nate and Jenny. I am thinking that maybe Nate and Blair are getting back together...any thoughts????

Also I am on pins and needles waiting for everyone to find out that Rufus and Lilly's long lost child is in fact still alive. This might be months away though.

The other big question on Fans minds is now that Senior year is coming to a close ....what does that mean for Gossip Girl??? New York City is such a huge part of the show, are we going to change locations??? Are they all going to end up in New York City??? Will GG start writing about new high schoolers?? Or will they pull a One Tree Hill and leap forward years??? I guess "Only Time Will Tell..."

The City:

Whitney Port and her fellow cast mates have been picked up for a second season. I am not nearly as into The City as I first was The Hills... but both shows aren't great to me any more yet they still find a spot on my TiVo!

Ok so the big premiere of Lost was last week and don't think I have forgotten about it... honestly it is too complex for me to get into right now. All the info I know

Pushing Daisies has completed all 13 of its season two episodes which may be “all she wrote”. Series creator says he may finish out the stories in comic books.

Privileged: The show is one of MANY new shows on the CW, the freshman show is super cheesy but is held together by a very lovable main character, Megan. The show will try out a Monday time slot in December (I am assuming it will take the spot of One Tree Hill or Gossip Girl for a couple weeks to see if it can pull in some of their viewers.)

Prison Break: Basically this show has outlasted what any critics thought it would given the original plot line (what happens after they break out of prison??) Well this season has done better thus far then last season but may still wrap up Michael’s journey in 2009.

Eli Stone: The only word I get on this is TV only has so much room for courtroom shows and this one isn’t pulling in the viewers like Boston Legal does.

Dirty Sexy Money: The people that watch this show LOVE IT but there just isn’t enough of them.

A small piece of positive news is that since the economy is doing so poorly shows won’t be axed so quickly because it is more costly to start up a new production than to continue on with a current one. Basically I read this like if the show isn’t doing HORRIBLE they will probably keep it :)

BACK FOR A FIFTH SEASON:

The Hills will be back for a 5th season even after most of the stars of the show denied it for a while and said they were done with the show. Apparently MTV offered them enough money to make it worth their wild.

Grey's Anatomy:
Ok so I just watched last week's episode last night and let me tell you that I am not a big fan of the Denny story line... Why?? Well a couple reasons it is unrealistic for him to be back (which I don't believe he is) and the other possible plot line is that Izzy is hallucinating which makes me sad for her and for Alex bc every girl he is with ends up a little crazy. I am interested to see how this plot line plays out because Shondra is a good writer I will have a little faith but it is going to be a tough one. Next weeks episode looks super intense with them trying surgery on one of the other interns, are they crazy???

Sophia Bush & James Lafferty are dating!!! Yay this makes me so happy since I love Sophia Bush so much and I can't stand Chad Michael Murry so I like that she is dating someone on the set that can maybe make Chad Jealous... plus I really like James Lafferty too!

Break-Up Alert:
In other dating news DeAnna Pappas has broken her engagement off with Jesse.... Apparently he is very heartbroken. DeAnna told Jesse she loved him but was not IN LOVE with him. In an exclusive interview with EXTRA Jesse was very emotional (crying and such) when talking about the recent break up. Is anyone surprised by the recent news???

A Sad Good-Bye - Prison Break:

I am not going to go into this too much bc I don't want to spoil it for those who may not have watched this episode yet OR for any of you who would like to watch it in the future (AND YOU SHOULD), BUT I am extremely sad at last nights episode. Don't get me wrong it was a great episode and well done but I hated to see what of the original cast members die. I do love that he died a hero and that he will be remembered as such but it was so hard for me to watch. What did you think of last nights episode?

Grey's Anatomy:

In other breaking news... Dr. Hahn will be leaving Grey's Anatomy. Shonda Rhimes was been quoted saying it has nothing to do with her lesbian story line. However she was let go from the cast very suddenly and Brooke thinks Shonda's arms were tied by the network to cut the story line. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Grey's Anatomy:IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED LAST NIGHTS EPISODE DON'T READ!!!!

Woo Hoo!! If you read my blog you know that last night I was SUPER excited with how the episode played out. I heart Alex and I love him and Izzy together! Last night we pealed another layer off Alex and I like what I am seeing.... I also loved when Izzy came into his room and repeated "I care about you, I care about you, I care about you..." Alex needs someone to really love him and not leave him (from what I have gathered thus far). So right now I am super super excited!!! I also love the story line of Lexie and George...it makes me so happy to see Lexie do things like decorate George's locker because it seems so real!!! I love it! I loved how at the end she told George he was a jerk for not noticing her...I think he needed to hear it! Yay for me last nights episode was pretty good!

In a recent interview Patrick Dempsey hinted that their might be a wedding soon for Meredith and Derek... For all those MerDer fans out there this is big news! I would be extremely happy if they got married and ended that saga.... Let's move on the other characters.... I want to find out more about Mark Sloan, Lexie, Cristina etc..... But this season I love the focus on Alex!!!

Gossip Girl:
This weeks episode of Gossip Girl also made me extremely happy much like Grey's. I love getting to know Chuck Bass more and more and I loved the end when he told Blair to say those three little words, three syllables, eight letters... It is so obvious that they both love each other but are too scared to admit it... But it is what makes the show so intriguing. Next I love the story line developing between Nate and Dan... I think that will be a great friendship, also I have always wanted Jenny and Nate to be together and I think this is going to open that door. Next weeks preview looks pretty interesting, hopefully we will still like Jenny when it is over but I am excited to see Willa on next week's episode. Serena has been getting on my nerves lately so I think that her character needs a revamp or new story lines.... What are your thoughts?

M.I.A.

For my loyal blog readers I am sorry I have been M.I.A. for the past week or so... I have been sick and well frankly without words. I am back and ready to spill the gossip....

Gossip Girl:

Ok so there are many rumors floating around right now about Gossip Girl (some of these might be considered SPOILERS but since I don't know if they are true I am going to share them). First rumor is about Vanessa and Chuck hooking up or at least getting flirty in episodes to come, this was kind of given away in the last preview but I am against it completely! As all of you know I am a huge "CHAIR" fan and I really don't like Vanessa so I hope this comes to an end quickly. Next there will be a funeral on the show, which obviously hints to a death. I am thinking the death will probably come to a "not needed" parent but will cause some drama. I think possibly Bart Bass (but I am not sure about that since we just discovered some about Chucks past I don't think they would kill him right now but who knows) or Allison Humphrey. What is your guess?? It has been hinted that there is a love triangle forming between Vanessa, Nate and Jenny (I actually enjoy the idea of Nate and Jenny). Also Jenny's new friend is suppose to enter the picture in the next couple episodes... YAY I am ready for Kaitlin Cooper :)

PS I love how they are setting it up for all the characters to go to Yale, except for Jenny but I am sure they will find a way for her to design nearby.

One Tree Hill:

I am so relieved that Brooke finally opened up to Peyton about her attack, I have been waiting for it. I am a little bored with the Nathan basketball story line... Let him play or don't but that is not the drama I want to watch. Also is anyone else really wanting Chase (Stephen Coletti) to come back and be with Brooke??? I don't have much to say about this show bc frankly it is getting boring.

Attention all Dawson's Creek fans: James Van Der Beek is returning to NC to play a director interested in doing a movie based on Lucas book.... Interesting. The character seems to be very similar to the character James played on Dawson's Creek. I am excited to see James on OTH, I would love to see other alums of Dawson's visit the show. For those of you who don't know OTH is filmed in the same city as Dawson's Creek. The Hills:

Wow there is so much going on right now with the Hills... Lauren has been saying this is the final season of the hills but MTV is claiming that all the main characters will be in the next season of the Hills (which I think they are already filming, not sure). So Yay I think there will be at least one more season of the Hills but I will let you know when I know for sure. Next at Lauren's fashion show Lauren and Heidi were spotted having a heart to heart conversation, does this mean they made up? All I have to say is I hope the cameras were there to catch the interaction or at least they reenact it for the fans to see!!! I think if they are friends again then Spencer will have to keep his distance while Lauren is around. Audrina and Heidi have been spotted multiple times together lately so are they new besties??? Finally Whitney has started filming her new show The City so her departure from The Hills must be soon. Will you watch The City??

Making the Band:
Ok so how last weeks finale??? Crazy that they ended it with the band broken up and no news on the future.. Maybe this really is reality TV!! I love Aundrea!! (Just throwing that out there). Aubrey is so crazy, she doesn't get it - I just want to reach through the TV and scream stop talking!!! She annoys me so badly but causes good TV. I hear that Making the Band is going to have some more episodes in the spring that will show what will happen now but I haven't seen a preview or anything so I am not sure but I am extremely interested in whats next for Danity Kane?

Desperate Housewives:

Ok I just wanted to really quickly say that I think Edie's husband was married to the woman that Mike and Susan killed in the car and that was his wife and child that died. I think he probably went crazy after it happen and was admitted and when they released him they were still worried he was going to hurt himself or someone else bc he had so much anger inside. These are my thoughts, what are yours???

Grey's Anatomy:

Do ya'll get tired of me saying the same thing week after week??? I heart Alex!!! I loved the scene in the bar with him and Izzy at the end of the episode... Just keep pealing back the layers Shondra!!! I was heart-broken for Lexie after George totally forgot about her after he passed his test... Come on George wake up... he usually isn't so careless. Has he forgotten who helped him study for his test and who encouraged him this entire time, and who pushed him to ask the chief to re-take the test??? I really like George and Lexie together- I think they are a great fit!

30 Rock:

Ok so are there any 30 Rock fans out there??? My husband and I rented the first season of 30 Rock this weekend (I know like we don't have enough shows already right?) and I have been extremely disappointed thus far. I am only three episodes in and some things are kind of funny but I don't think I have laughed out loud one time.... Let me remind you that when I started the Office I was literally crying from laughing so hard... I have heard that 30 Rock gets better as you go...Is this true??? Should I stick with it??? I need your thoughts.

The Island- RW/RR Challenge:

So sad!!! I am so super sad after last weeks episode. I was very excited when Evelyn stole Johnny's key the week before (I am completely against the alliance). I hate that Johnny won back his key, I really thought Derek or Cohutta would beat him, I honestly don't think he is that great of a competitor. Anyways I am also saddened that Derek has teamed up with the alliance but I guess it was best for him and I really want Derek to win. So now that Johnny has his key "throne" back what is next for the alliance. We know there is at least one more elimination left and they really want Johanna to have a key but the alliance has been so sketchy the entire game and I am wondering how everyone is going to react when they realize they have been taken by them. Let me explain what I am talking about.... 8 people get keys at the end of the challenge and 8 people get on boats (4 on each boat). What I know is the following people have keys:

Ok the other interesting thing is that Evelyn has a moment in the preview where she gets really excited when TJ makes an announcement about the final elimination which is either this week or next and I am thinking it must mean she has a chance at a key....Maybe everyone competes in the last elimination and the only way to secure your key is to win and the winner gets to steal a key... Not sure but there is definitely some kind of twist coming!!! YAY

This Weeks Shows:

Grey's Anatomy:
GA premiered last night (as I am sure most of you know). I thought the episode was kind of boring....usually during Grey's I am hooked to the screen and can't wait for the next moment. I felt the episode was kind of anti-climactic. Rose being pregnant was made into this huge deal and it was a joke that had us going for about 1 second.... And I think Rose made her final exit last night when she apologized to Derek and got on the elevator (at least she didn't fall down the elevator shaft for her exit). Next, in the preview we saw Meredith crying out and saying no... this ends up being a short dream at the beginning of the episode (which I thought was kind of stupid and mellow dramatic). Next we have Denny's return, this has been talked about all summer and once again what a let down....Maybe that won't be the last we see of him but I was extremely disappointed overall with the episode. Finally of course I am disappointed with how things went down with Alex & Izzy. I do love Alex and his misunderstood soul but I am ready for him to face his past and let us all in on who he really is.... keeping my fingers crossed this season brings more out of him.

Oh and how about the couples name being "Sarah Beth & Michael" that was random....

Gossip Girl:

Wow I waited a long time to write about my Monday shows.... Loved it loved it loved it! I love that Serena and Dan are at war, as much as I want them to be a couple and in the end they will, it makes for a more entertaining show! Not nearly enough "Chair" in this last episode but right now I am wondering why Chuck so badly wants Blair dethroned from her spot has Queen B? Does he just want to hurt her or does he want her to need him in some way?? Hmmm still figuring that one out. Next weeks episode looks really good with Fashion week BUT the writers need to be careful with how far off the edge Serena falls bc she is suppose to be the lovable character of the show and she isn't too far from being hated (In my opinion)! S better watch her back though bc hell has no fury like Queen B's revenge! :)

Side note: Did everyone hear how Ed Westwick (Chuck Bass) was caught making out with Drew Barrymore....Interesting!

One Tree Hill:

I know that the loss of Q was very tragic and we shouldn't just skim over it quickly but then again I don't want to walk away from every episode of OTH depressed so I am ready for it to pass over (only bc he is a character, obviously if he was a real person I wouldn't say to get over it, but how often we forget they aren't real). Anyways I am glad that Brooke finally opened up about her attack I just wish she would open up to her "family" about it. I was so SUPER bored with the Peyton story line this week, I am going to be honest I DON'T CARE if that guy is her dad or not.... They have dragged on Peyton's parents story lines for 4 years now and I just DON'T care!! Deb and Skills make me sick, seriously why is this even a story line??? I absolutely loved the face off between Brooke and Victoria.... The best quote "Victoria your dream came true now you have your own business and no daughter." Loved it, GO BROOKE!!! We didn't see much of Nanny Carrie and Dan this week but after the preview for next weeks episode I think we will be seeing a lot more of them. Lets talk about the preview for next week: SERIOUSLY!!!! It looked like a crummy (really crummy) horror flick, I hope it isn't as cheesy and stupid as the preview made it look... I guess we will find out soon!

Prison Break:

Ok so I am so ready for Wyatt (Bailey's Husband from Greys) to die! He is annoying to me and is just cruel. This weeks episode was pretty good.. and awesome how they got the card, Michael Scofield always has the best ideas! Ok so pretty awesome that Gretchen escaped but I don't understand what information they think she is holding, maybe info about Alex Mahone working with the Company and still being alive? Also did anyone else catch when The General was talking about Gretchen's escape he said "She always comes home" I thought maybe she is his daughter??? Maybe? Also it still weirds me out to see Lindsey from the OC on the show and playing such a scandalous secretary to T-bag, I have a feeling this is not going to end pretty for her! The Hills:

Loved Lo this episode!!! I know people are probably tired of hearing me praise Lo but now that she has gotten all the bad press I am really watching her interaction with people on the show and listening to her in interviews and I am still very much TEAM LO. This episode when Audrina and Lo run into Heidi at the club Audrina was all chatty with Heidi and she even met up with her the next day! Lo stuck up for her friend and felt very uncomfortable with the whole situation. Also Lo and Audrina went to the club together and from what we saw Audrina totally turned her back to Lo and ignored her. I understand that Audrina and Heidi were friends and she has the freedom to be nice to Heidi, I don't really have a problem with that...what I do have a problem with is that when she is with Heidi she talks down about Lauren (she isn't positive, too much drama etc.) then when she is with Lauren she talks about how she doesn't really like Heidi.... Don't like this at all.... I think she is just trying to stay in the drama to keep her pay checks coming.... Meanwhile Lo is truly Lauren's best friend and has Lauren's back during all the chaos!Now lets break down the whole Stephanie saga.... I don't think it is the end of the world for her to go on a date with Doug, since it seems Lauren and Doug's relationship wasn't that intense...HOWEVER...Stephanie should have definitely ok'd it with Lauren first and maybe waited longer (however...we don't really know how much time passed in between).... I think this is extremely sketchy on Stephanie's part, plus saying oh if Lauren finds out we will just tell her we are friends (HELLO you are being filmed, stupid). Anyways it will be interesting to see how Stephanie climbs out of this hole.

Project Runway:

Seriously Kenley has to GO!! I know some of you are big fans of hers and majority of the time I really enjoy her designs but she is so arrogant and rude! Someone told me she is just confident and that is what it takes to be a designer BUT there is a big difference in being confident and just being a B****! On next weeks episode when she said "I wasn't trying to be elegant Heidi" WHAT!!! I really want her to get kicked off ASAP. I really like Leanne and Jerrell, Corto is not my favorite bc she always seems annoyed and tired but I usually really like her designs. Oh and I hated this weeks theme....Just because I really didn't like any of the outfits!!! Boo for the music theme.

America's Next Top Model:

Isis is out! I agree with the judges 100% on this one.... her pictures have been average and like I said last week when she is in the room she doesn't present herself/himself like a model. I think this was the right decision. I was a little sad to see Hannah go, bc I liked her but her walk was terrible! I think my favorite is Analeigh but I also like Samantha and Laurens pics thus far!

The Island:

The other day I was thinking...it seems most of the people these days on the challenges that call themselves "Vets" aren't Vets to me and I started to wonder why? Well Here is what I came up with: the original Vets or cast consisted of people like: Beth, Veronia, Rachel, Mike, Mark, Julie, Coral etc.... These people are truly Vets to me and that is bc they started doing the Challenges anywhere from 6-10 years ago (that is a long time)....During the first years of the show it would air once every year and sometimes just every other year so a lot of time passed between challenges....Ever since 2004 they have been doing 2 Challenges a year which means some people now have done 4 challenges in 2 years which make them technically a "Vet" even though they still seem like fresh meat to me! Does that make sense??? Plus I am just sad to see the torch being passed from the previous Vets to the "new vets" including: Johnny, Kenny, Robyn, Tina, CT, Diem, Brad etc. I would love to see a return from Timmy, Coral, Mike, Mark, Veronica, or Alton. This season I was behind the true Vets to me which included: Abram, Rachel, and Derrick... but two of them are already gone so I am pulling for Derrick!!! Also I would love to see a return of Wes to the Challenge especially if Johanna was on it bc I think that would cause lots of Drama and we all know that is what the show is about!!! Get to work MTV that is what we are hoping for next go round.

On to the episode...I was sad to see Rachel go...Robyn is all talk and always has been... she always fronts like she is a big competitor but never proves it in the challenges (I consider her kind of the new "Beth") next I can't believe Kelly Ann beat Rachel...Rachel has always been so hard core but Kelly Ann is small and limber which I think helped her in this competition. Rachel's presence on this season gauntlet was so low key....she is usually in the center of all the drama...I guess she has grown up a lot since her days with Veronica. I bet this was Rachel's last time to compete.... Bye Rachel, another Vet bites the dust!

Gossip Girl vs. The OC

Gossip Girl:

GG is adding two new students Aaron (John Patrick Amedori) and Agnes (Willa Hollard). Agnes is a model/bad influence who will befriend Jenny and push her to start her own clothing line. Look for Aaron to cause some tension between Serena and Dan, don't get too sad you knew it was coming..... This will be the couple that is together and torn apart through out the entire series...The real question is will Blair & Chuck ever be together again and if they do then will it last more than a single episode? Ok you know I had to bring it back to those two!!! Oh and you may recognize Willa Hollard from the former popular teen drama The OC...which brings me to another point: everyone compares GG to The OC I just don't see it.... They ARE all rich children who go to school and it appeals to teen groups but other than that I don't see the resemblance....

Grey's Anatomy: Rose is Pregnant?

Ok so in the preview on the link below Rose tells Patrick she is carrying his baby.... BUT Shanda Rimes promises that Rose is not pregnant....but it looks like something is going on here.... Could she be lying to Derek to get his attention? Or does she think she is pregnant? Or is it something completely different??? Could Shanda be lying to us to cover up a story-line, somehow I don't think so......

MTV: Music Awards

The VMA's are this Sunday night at 7:00pm (The Hills will have a new episode before the show begins). Britney Spears will open the VMA's this year BUT she will not be performing...I guess she will just be saying hi or presenting the first award. Interesting fact: Britney Spears has been nominated 17 times for VMAs but has never won, crazy I would have thought for sure she won one in the late 90's or 2000.

Shannen Doherty is BACK!!!! It's official Shannen will be back on 90210 in the fall. This is great news for 90210 fans even if you hate Brenda you want her around...you love to hate her! I wonder if Brenda & Kelly will have any crazy encounters. Now this will definitely be on my fall schedule!

Grey's Anatomy Denny's Back??

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is returning to Grey's Anatomy for the season premiere in the fall (September 25). Some hope that his return means they are killing off Izzie and he will whisk her away (due to her earlier comments) BUT producer of the show says that is not the case, Izzie will not be leaving the show. The most probable story line is some sort of dream sequence or flash back sequence that would involve Denny. I think that since Izzie was given the Clinic dedicated to Denny in the series finale this might open some "Denny" windows plus you know they can't keep Izzie and Alex together :( I wish they would.

Emmy's:

Emmy list was announced on Thursday morning and there wasn't too many surprises...the biggest surprise might be that Grey's Anatomy wasn't nominated for Best Drama Series, some think Katherine Heigl's comments might have caused the show to be over looked. It should also be noted that three dances from last years "So You Think You Can Dance" are up for Emmy's:
