Not About The Bachelor :)
I started looking through my latest posts and realized that all I have been talking about lately is The Bachelor (it is such a guilty pleasure)! I know soon the only thing I will be blogging about will be American Idol (Once we get past the Hollywood round). BUT there are other things going on in the TV World so lets look at a few:
WOW!!! This past weeks episode was pretty intense. Do we really think Izzy is going to die??? We knew the entire time that one of the likely reason that Izzy was seeing Denny was that she was sick but I must admit I never thought he would be there "for here." It seems like he was there to "take her home." Very interesting but this really doesn't explain everything that went down between them but I really really hope that she doesn't die. I like Izzy's character but more so for Alex. He finally found someone he really loves and he has been through so much I just really want for him to be able to be happy for at least a few months! This will be interesting to see the story line unfold. Will Izzy get to finally meet her daughter??? Will we meet her mother???
18. Lucas & Brooke (One Tree Hill) They aren't together in 2008 but people love brucas and the fact they have survived as close friends after all the drama they have been through.

Countdown to American Idol
AMERICAN IDOL:
1 MORE DAY until American Idol is back and my fingers will be tired for sure ;) I love to write about American Idol... Not sure why but maybe it is because it is a show that I am 100% suppose to have an opinion about!!! I love to watch it and make judgements...wow that sounds really bad... but isn't that what the show is all about???
I have made myself a promise this year that I will not fall in love with a contestant before the top 12!!! The last two years my favorites did not make the top 12 and this was pretty annoying to lose your favorite so quickly... so this year I am going to try to really get warmed up to them before picking my favorite, how many people think this is actually going to happen???
Here is a look back at my two favorites from the last two years that got cut before their time:
2007: Sundance Head
His Audition that won me over:
His performance that lost it for him:
2008: Josiah Leming
His two performances that won me over:
His performance that lost it for him:
I would like to throw out there that Carly Smithson was another one of my favorites from auditions and she did make it to the top 12 last year so it wasn't all bad!

Sexiest Man Alive
Two of My Favorites "Old" and "New" made the list:
My "Old" crush from Dawson's Creek (Joshua Jackson) and my new crush from Gossip Girl (Ed Wistwick) both made the cut.
Neither of them won the coveted award of "THE SEXIEST MAN ALIVE" but they were among the top 25. It is weird bc neither of them at first glance are that attractive to me but something about their presence is very attractive. I don't agree with most of the list I saw and I definitely don't think Hugh Jackman is the Sexiest Man Alive but he is however attractive.
What are your thoughts on the list???
Top 10 Break-Out Stars of 2008: (According to ew.com)
Either I am really old or they picked some random people, most of the people on the list I haven't even heard of, see what you think:
- Robert Pattinson (Harry Potter & Twilight)
- Demi Lovato (Singer, Camp Rock)
- Russell Brand (Awful VMA's host)
- Estelle (Singer)
- Shailene Woodley (The Secret Life of An American Teenager)
- David Cook (American Idol)
- Tristan Wild (90210)
- Kat Dennings (The House Bunny, Nick and Norah's infinite playlist)
- Chelsea Handler (Chelsea Lately)
- Angel (Chihuahua - yes a dog!)
Entertainers of the Year: (according to ew.com)
I agree more with this list:
- Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother)
- Leona Lewis (Singer - "Bleeding Love")
- Michael Phelps
- Richard Jenkins (Step Brothers & Burn After Reading)
- Katy Perry (Singer -"I kissed a Girl")
- Jon Hamn (Mad Men)
- Kid Rock
- Yunjin Kim and Daniel Dae Kim (Jin and Sun from LOST)
- Elizabeth Banks (Zack & Miri Make a Porno & Role Models)
- Coldplay
- Wall-E (from the movie Wall-E)
- James Franco (Pineapple Express & Milk)
- The Stars of Bravo (Real Housewives, Project Runway, Top Chef etc.)
- Meryl Streep (Mama Mia! - yep shes still got it)
- The Talking Heads (The View, Fox News, CNN etc.)
- The Jonas Brothers
- The Women of Sex & the City
- Rock Band
- Lil Wayne
- Stephanie Meyer (Author of Twilight and The Host)
- The Gossip Girls (Serena and Blair)
- Cast & Crew of The Dark Knight
- Tina Fey
- Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man & Tropic Thunder)

I would say the only person really missing from this list is Rhianna since she sings about 50 songs that they play over and over again on the radio.

America's Next Top Model:
Tonight is the finale of America's Next Top Model and I don't know about ya'll but I REALLY want Analeigh to run away with it. I really don't like the other two girls left, I know that is harsh but they have bad attitudes. Analeigh is so sweet, genuine and takes great photos.
Who do you want to win?

The Bachelor's Matt & Shayne Split:
Is anyone really surprised by this news.... the two have been together for several months "riding the PR wave" and said they tried to make it work but their lives were headed in two different directions. I (along with most of America) thought from the beginning that Shayne was just in it for Publicity, who knows for sure if that is true I guess time might tell. The only question left is will DeAnna and Jesse really make it down the aisle?
The show will center around Berkley conducting self-esteem workshops around the country with adolescent girls. The show will not only show the work shops but the girls in their hometowns...the show is still a working progress but has been confirmed. I have one thing to say "I'm so excited, I'm so excited, I'm just so scared."
This is quite amusing to me bc I just had a discussion about this word last night over dinner with friends....I don't believe this are in any particular order:
So lets talk about it. First off I agree with girls 100% Comfort and Courtney probably deserved to be in the bottom two and it was definitely Comforts time to go home. Will & Twitch were definitely some what of a surprise but I have always said that on shows like these if someone is in the bottom one week and they don't get sent home they have a better shot at staying the next week because their fans will be voting like crazy to keep them safe. That being said I wasn't completely in shock that Mark wasn't in the bottom two, however he probably did deserve to be in the bottom two over Twitch or Will, in fact he probably deserved to go home. All that being said I was rather satisfied with last nights results show bc I think next week Twitch fans are going to save him since he was in the bottom, and I seriously doubt Mark will out last Joshua. Also I believe even though Courtney was in the bottom the chances are pretty good that she will be going home next week. If I am right and Mark & Courtney go home next week then the finale will be just like I want it Twitch, Josh, Katee & Chelsie and I honestly don't think I will care who wins, I love them all.... Looking over this seasons results shows Comfort was in the bottom 6 out of the 7 weeks (crazy that she made it through so many times huh?) Will was in the bottom 3 out of 7 times. Out of the contestants remaining Courtney and Twitch have been in the bottom two times, Mark has only been in the bottom once, and Katee, Chelsie, and Joshua have NEVER been in the bottom (that is because they ROCK)!!!! Looking forward to next week!!!Posted by Sarah Beth at 7/25/2008 2 comments

New Shows
Arrested Development

On the same note Big Brother started last night and will air Sunday, Tuesday & Wednesday of each week.
90210: No David Silver

In a recent interview with TV Guide Brian Austin Green said that he has not been approached by the producers of 90210 to return and probably wouldn't. He basically said he is still thought of as David Silver and is trying to get away from that, poor boy :)http://www.tvguide.com/news/brian-austin-green/080714-01
Dark Knight:

I know this is not TV but I thought it was note worthy. The Dark Knight hits theatres this weekend. This is definitely the most talked about release in a really long time (maybe since Brokeback Mountain). The movie was going to be big no matter what but due to Heath Ledgers untimely death the movie has had more press than any movie this summer. The following article talks about the movie and gives it great reviews. They gave all the key players great feedback except Maggie Gyllenhaal. They said Heath's role is amazing but so are the others in the movie. They also said it was too long (it is 2 and 1/2 hours long). I am so excited to see this movie!!! :) http://www.accesshollywood.com/article/10316/moviemantz-review-the-dark-knight/
What do you think about Dark Knight are you going to see it or skip it?
The Hills:
Rumors were stirring over the weekend that Audrina had moved out of the house she shared with Lauren & Lo because there was reportedly a fight between two females at the house that caused the police to show up & a moving truck at their house. Audrina & Lauren both deny that Audrina has moved out. Lauren said the fight was between her stylist & neighbor and the moving truck was really a delivery truck delivering new furniture. For more info on the situation read the article below. Also for all latest news on The Hills read my friend Areta's blog at http://www.thehillsbythehill.blogspot.com/

In the News Today
In the News today:
Here is a sneak peek at Britney Spears on How I Met Your Mother. She will be making her second appearance on the show on Monday May 12.
http://www.usmagazine.com/watch-britney-spears-o-how-i-met-your-mother
American Idol:
Jason Castro is the most recent contestant to be cut from the show but don't feel bad about it because he doesn't. Paula said he was ready to leave the show. He didn't seem upset at all to be leaving. I think he will have a great career. He may not be a top selling artist but I think he will be able to do what he loves and make a living off it which seems like all he really wants.
http://www.usmagazine.com/paula-abdul-jason-castro-it-was-time-him-go
Did Jason so desperately want to be voted off that he mouthed "Don't Vote" after his performances on Tuesday or was he mouthing "Vote Vote"...you decide...
http://www.tmz.com/2008/05/07/castro-send-me-to-cuba-anywhere-but-a-i/
Previous Contestants Carly Smithson and Michael Johns performed on Ellen Monday here is a clip of one of the songs they sang...."One" by U2. I am thinking they should make an album together...I would buy it for sure...They were probably the strongest two vocalists in the competition.
http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-Editors-Blog/Great-American-Idol/Michael-Johns-Carly/800039132
The Hills:
The Hills has been picked up for a 4th season which has already started filming...Tell me are you TEAM LO or TEAM AUDRINA????...Sorry but I am still convinced that Lo is better than what they show of her. I love her still but I hope she stops being so snotty soon. For now TEAM LO!!!!

The Bachelor: Previous Bachelor Andy Baldwin and Marla Maples called it quits due to the "long distance".... I am glad, sorry but they kind of grossed me out.

Denise Richards reality show premieres on E! memorial weekend.
http://www.usmagazine.com/denise-richards-on-reality-show-im-in-a-no-win-situation
Brothers & Sisters: The cast reveals some hints on what to expect from B&S finale and next season. There will be some major cliffhangers in next weeks finale. Sarah will find out another BIG secret about her father. Who are the two cast members not returning for Season 3? I was thinking it was Danny Glovers character but I am not sure he was ever considered a major role....Michael thinks maybe Saul dies in this coming up episode...but who knows??? I guess we will just have to watch!!!
http://www.buddytv.com/articles/brothers-and-sisters/brothers-sisters-cast-hints-on-19065.aspx
Desperate Housewives: There is always so much drama on Wisteria Lane and we don't have to expect anything different in the upcoming episodes. The drama is going to hit the fan with Kayla. Also we have heard that next season they are going to fast forward 5 years, does this mean recasting for the children???
http://www.buddytv.com/articles/desperate-housewives/desperate-housewives-is-kayla-19063.aspx
Lost:
We are returning to the freighter this week on Lost...yay I love Sayid. I feel like it has been a while since we have seen what is going on aboard the boat. Also I am anxious to see what Kate was doing for Sawyer...I really hope he isn't dead because I enjoy his character (I doubt he is). Any thoughts on what you think might happen in upcoming episodes???
This was one persons opinion of whether Claire is alive or dead...it seems pretty accurate but you NEVER know with LOST.
Claire – Odds: Even Money I keep coming back to the fact that Claire would never willingly part with her bay-bay. Even if there were only so many seats on the way home, there's no way Kate would steal a seat from Claire – ditto for Sayid or Jack or Hurley. What circumstance would see Claire willingly part from her child? Thursday's episode should answer some of those questions, but I still think Claire will be offed by the season finale
Nicole Richie...I love her...I know I might be weird but she makes me laugh. I think she looks great in this picture and how precious is Harlow??
Entourage: New season will begin September 2008...they have begun filming
http://justjared.buzznet.com/2008/05/07/entourage-adrian-grenier-urth/
Greys Anatomy:
Katherine Heigl wants out of her Greys contract...Don't worry loyal watchers ABC's not going to let that happen. But is saddens me that she wants to leave. Rumors are that she doesn't think she needs Grey's anymore since her two movies were box office GOLD. I am just glad we don't have to worry about Izzie leaving Seattle Grace anytime soon! I am all for the "big kiss" at the end of this season being between Izzie and Alex...Yay!
http://perezhilton.com/2008-05-08-she-wants-out
Gossip Girl: Has been renewed for next season with a whopping 24 episodes!!! They are trying to make up for episodes lost during the writers strike.

Best TV Comedies of all Time...by AOL: I agree with this one more...but I think that Laverne and Shirley should have been higher that is a classic! Yay for Roseanne being so far up the list..love it. I disagree with there number one pick, they must have based it on longevity...click below to see the list.
